Fishing at Millrace pond

Saturday we spent a few hours fishing at Millrace Pond in Taylorsville.

I first set up Cassie's little Princess fishing rod and had her practice a few casts.  She decided she wasn't in the mood to fish, but Elli was eager to go.  I hadn't finished getting her rod ready, so she asked Cassie if she could use hers.  On her third cast, she caught this nice little Albino Trout:
After she caught this one, I went back to getting my rod ready, and a few minutes later she caught a Rainbow trout!  She caught her limit (2 fish) before I even had my rod ready!

She was one happy girl!  Once Robby and I started, we had several bites and I caught a little Brown Trout.  Robby didn't land anything, but I am sure he will next trip.  This was a unique trip, first because Elli did so well with her first two fish, and also because out of this little community fishing pond we caught three types of trout.  Albino, Rainbow, and Brown.  I know the pond is stocked regularly with Albino and Rainbow, but the brown was a surprise.

Fish on!
